At the kids' middle school they have a program called S.P.O.T. It is for kids who are working hard, are good citizens, using integrity, and working at their potential. Each teacher in the school chooses one of their students per semester and then there is an assembly and they take photos. (We pathetically forgot our camera so we don't have a photo to post here.)
Well, Mr. Benson was honored by his math teacher, Mrs. McKinney. This lady has been great for Benson this year! She has really helped him see and reach for his potential. I know that some of his 6th and 7th grade teachers were surprised to see him there. Not that he has been awful for anyone, but I think all of them could see his potential when he maybe didn't, and so he wasn't exactly "performing on target". Well, it was a proud moment for Mom and Dad! He is a great kid! We are blessed to have been sent him. Somedays I wonder if I am the Mom that can most effectively help him reach his potential, but I will give it my all!
Way to go B! We are very proud of you and we love you so much!!
